Greetings Petshoppers!
Almost a year ago, we began this journey to bring Alien Petshop into your homes. Despite supply shortages and a global pandemic, we are nearing the finish line; albeit a little later than expected. I thank you for your support and patience.
As freight is being finalized worldwide over the next few days, we have some important things to highlight.
1) Orders have been locked. So quantities of games to send to each backer can't be changed now.
2) Addresses will be locked by June 6th, if not earlier. You'll get an email from Backerkit as a reminder.
3) Cards will be charged between June 6th-June 9th. This covers addons, shipping, and any taxes/VAT. This also covers pre-order purchases.
If your address has changed since you filled the pledge manager survey, PLEASE visit the pledge manager. Use this link: https://alien-petshop.backerkit.com/
Enter in your email address you used previously, and click GET MY SURVEY.
You will be able to see and click 'Edit Shipping Info' to update your shipping details.

As excited as I am for all this, I do have a bit of bad news. Gameland printed the playerboards without linen finish. That was one of our very last stretch goals. The cards were printed with linen finish and look great. I could have asked them to reprint the boards but that felt 1)wasteful and 2)it would take 3 weeks to reprint them. Given all the delays we've had I felt that it was best to just move forward. I still feel this is a high quality game with great components. Even with shipping and the cost of goods going up, I've stuck with my campaign promises. I am sorry the player board finish did not work out as expected.

Greetings Petshoppers!
It's time for the monthly update. First, COVID slowed us down again in April. The factory in Ningbo had to shut down for a few weeks. You may have heard how this impacted some big companies like Tesla. The good news is that the game manufacturer is open again and working on finishing up Alien Petshop.
There also was a goof with the UV spot on the box, so once that is reprinted, assembly of the games should begin.
It's also time to lock orders. Since the add-ons are sold out, the only change anyone might want is more copies of the game, or for retailers to order cartons. You can still change your address after that up until we begin shipping. You can expect your shipping, taxes, and any add-ons to be charged to your credit/debit cards soon thereafter. I'll send out an update when that happens.

Greetings Petshoppers!
I am so excited to say that 1000 copies of Alien Petshop are being made right now for amazing backers like you! Some components are even already done. I've include some images here just to show the progress, but I wish I had better images. These all came from Gameland.
The dice are done and look great!
The insert design is finished, but is still in manufacturing since that was one of the last components to be finalized. Here is a blurry pic of the insert which I think functions and looks great!
All of the other components are being finished in April. Hopefully this means that we'll have cartons of critters shipping via sea freight to North America in early to mid May. The EU and Asia will be fulfilled via parcel.
So, my current projection is that Alien Petshop will start arriving in your homes in late June. I am sorry for the delays. I know you are all eager to play!!
I have been getting questions about the pledge manager, so I'll field them here for everyone. Once the game is manufactured and packed for freight, I'll close the pledge manager so counts are locked. This is when credit cards will be charged for shipping and add-ons. If you have moved since you did the pledge manager survey, you'll want to update your address. You can do that here:

Greetings Petshoppers!
I have a small update in hopes of a larger one in a week or so.
I'll start with the good news. I am so thankful for everyone's patience with the delays and your general support, that I will be adding spot UV to the box, gratis. It's a small thing, but it will make the game look even more amazing on your gaming shelves. Some campaigns do this as a stretch goal, but we're doing it because it's cool. What is spot UV? It's a coating that makes part of the box cover look shiny and really POP! We'll hit the logo and the tentacle with this and it should look slick!!! I'll send photos when I have something to show.
As I mentioned, Chinese New Year did delay us a bit. I had every intention of sneaking manufacturing in before then, but the iterations for the box insert are taking longer than I anticipated.
Hopefully I will get an updated proof in the mail over the next week to 10 days and everything will look great. Once I have that, I'll be able to offer a more accurate update on our expected ship date.
